The Social Network

220px-Social_network_film_posterLawyer: Mr. Zuckerberg, do I have your full attention?
Zuckerberg: [stares out the window] No.
Lawyer: Do you think I deserve it?
Zuckerberg: [looks at the lawyer] What?
Lawyer: Do you think I deserve your full attention?
Zuckerberg: I had to swear an oath before we began this deposition, and I don’t want to perjure myself, so I have a legal obligation to say no.
Lawyer: Okay – no. You don’t think I deserve your attention.
Zuckerberg: I think if your clients want to sit on my shoulders and call themselves tall, they have the right to give it a try – but there’s no requirement that I enjoy sitting here listening to people lie. You have part of my attention – you have the minimum amount. The rest of my attention is back at the offices of Facebook, where my colleagues and I are doing things that no one in this room, including and especially your clients, are intellectually or creatively capable of doing. [pauses]
Zuckerberg: Did I adequately answer your condescending question?

Scene from The Social Network

And that is just a taste of Aaron Sorkin’s spectacular script. I mean, by the time rottentomatoes describes the movie as “Impeccably scripted, beautifully directed, and filled with fine performances”, you know this is a movie worth watching.

And for this movie, forget the cinema hall. What you need is a HD (high definition) copy of it, and a good TV set + home theatre to enjoy it. My take on this film…if you have not watched it, do so NOW! If you have watched it and you did not like it, check yourself!

And just once more for the record, this movie rocks! Its script is too good man! Now to find West Wing which I am suddenly interested in now that I know its script writer is so on point.
